The Townsville Skycam when fully installed will give you a full view of the area facing towards the South East. Within the Cam's view, you should be able to see what the current weather is doing quite clearly.
 
If you are lucky enough, you will also notice planes coming in on a landing pattern as the airport is not far away! The IP camera I am using has a Sony CCD and an Auto Iris. In the dark it has a IR capability which is great at night.
 
The camera also has great vision at any time of the day, even when light is low such as dusk or rainy days. It also includes audio which is another feature when viewing the online streaming video ( coming soon ).
This is only an temporary setup as the cam will go further up on top on the roof for full view of Mt Stuart and the area around it.
